About the Role
Reporting to the Administration Purser – Payroll and T&A, this position assists with the overall payroll process and all financially related crew services. This position involves a significant amount of time dealing with crew directly and requires a strong customer-service focus.

Qualifications
- Minimum hiring, language, and physical requirements to perform the job.
- Completion of high school, basic education or vocational training equivalency required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll or accounting processing position within the hospitality industry or financial institution preferred.
- Minimum 6 months' experience in cash handling and an understanding of US currency and exchange rates preferred.
- Exceptional administrative and analytical skills and aptitude for accounting/bookkeeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a closely-knit team.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential documentation.
- Proven customer service skills to interact appropriately with guests and crew in a considerate, professional, and positive manner by showing concern and listening actively.
- Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, crew, directors, managers and shoreside employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
- Demonstrable potential for growth into management and leadership roles.
- Competence in operating basic office equipment, including calculators, telephones, computers, and copy machines.
- Proficiency with computers, internet, and software programs such as Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Intermediate level Excel skills with Financial, Math and Lookup functions and formulas.
Required Skills
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with guests and crew.
- Ability to read and write English to understand, interpret and convey written information.
- This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors, and coworkers.
Preferred Skills
- Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll or accounting processing position within the hospitality industry or financial institution preferred.
- Minimum 6 months' experience in cash handling and an understanding of US currency and exchange rates preferred.
