Your Purpose
Reporting to the Head of HR Management, the HR Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters for employees. Acting as a trusted partner, you will support both employees and the HR team in the smooth running of day-to-day operations. You will also lead the onboarding experience for new joiners, ensuring a welcoming and professional integration into MSC Cruises.
Your Impact
• Conduct onboarding sessions and ensure a smooth and positive integration for new employees.
• Manage employment permit requests for new hires, including non-EU nationals, by coordinating with internal stakeholders and maintaining strong relationships with Swiss authorities.
• Act as the first point of contact for employees on all HR administration matters.
• Support daily HR operations, including contracts, time management, certificates, reporting, and database maintenance.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, processes, and regulations throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Own the accuracy and integrity of new starter, leaver, and employee transfer data, ensuring seamless updates and alignment across HR systems and reports whilst ensuring compliance with Swiss legal requirements
• Oversee and update the time management system, generate reports, and follow up with employees as needed.
• Partner with the HRIS team to maintain, enhance, and optimise the HR system. Provide training, guidance, and best practices to the global HR community to ensure effective and efficient use of the HRIS.
• Assist with payroll and accounting reconciliations, as well as HR data reporting and analysis.
• Contribute to HR projects and actively identify opportunities to streamline processes and drive improvements.
Your Journey so far
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Swiss HR Administration Degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within an international and multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of Swiss labour law is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Success Factors is an advantage.

• Fluent in English and French. Any additional language is an advantage.
• Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and digital tools.
• Flexible, organised, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• A strong service mindset, with the ability to balance detail orientation and people-focus.
