Your Purpose

As a Captain Admin, you will be the central pillar supporting the Captain in all administrative and operational matters, ensuring seamless communication, documentation, and coordination. Your role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of compliance, efficiency, and organization on board, allowing the Captain to focus on safe and smooth vessel operations. Through meticulous record-keeping, reporting, and scheduling, you will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the ship’s leadership team.

Your Impact

Your expertise in administrative tasks will directly influence the efficiency of ship operations, ensuring that all documentation, reports, and communications are accurate, timely, and in line with company and regulatory standards. You will liaise with multiple departments, managing correspondence, handling official reports, and maintaining crucial records that contribute to smooth operations and regulatory compliance. Your ability to adapt, prioritize, and support the Captain in high-pressure situations will make a significant difference in the ship’s overall performance and leadership effectiveness.

Your Journey So Far

1.    Educational Background: You have completed a nautical school diploma, equipping you with essential maritime knowledge, regulations, and operational principles.
2.    Administrative Expertise: You have solid experience in administrative roles, ideally within the maritime industry, demonstrating your ability to handle complex documentation, reporting, and correspondence.
3.    Regulatory Knowledge: You are familiar with maritime regulations, documentation, and compliance procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
4.    Communication Skills: Your fluency in English (oral and written) enables you to interact effectively across various departments and external authorities.
5.    Shipboard or Industry Experience: Your background in a similar role or within a shipboard environment has prepared you to support high-level decision-making and operational management.
6.    Technical Proficiency: You are comfortable using relevant administrative software to manage reports, records, and communications efficiently.

2.     Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within the maritime industry
3.    Strong knowledge of maritime documentation, regulations, and compliance procedures

7.     Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
