Your Purpose

Working closely with the Housekeeping shoreside team, the Travelling Fleet Supervisor – Laundry directly oversees the laundry operations across the fleet and supports the supervision of the entire onboard housekeeping department.

Your Impact

  • Oversee Laundry and ensure operations are running per company expectations and standards;
  • Develop and implement processes, procedures, guidelines, and checklists for review, including sharing of best practices fleet-wide;
  • Operate and maintain laundry machines, including tunnel washers and linen chutes;
  • Support, suggest and/or implement new laundry technologies;
  • Facilitate the start-up of laundry and housekeeping operations on new vessels;
  • Conduct regular shipboard audits on service standards, equipment, and maintenance. Provide a comprehensive action plan and follow-up thorough completion;
  • Ensure that laundry chemicals and equipment are in place and well used;
  • Manage and control the laundry inventory and related tracking system;
  • Develop and conduct training for laundry and housekeeping personnel;
  • Deliver detailed laundry reports to the shoreside Housekeeping team on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis;
  • Ability to participate in interviews for Laundry and Assistant Supervisor positions, either from shoreside candidates or through internal mobility.

Your Journey so far

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial laundry or 3 years in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise line, or hospitality-related field (no outsourcing);
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently;
  • Previous experience with high-volume laundry facilities is preferred;
  • Expertise in textile fabrics and their specific care requirements;
  • Experience with Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) systems for efficiently tracking textiles and linens;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) and Microsoft Excel for reporting and data management;
  • Effective management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment;
  • Familiarity with customs regulations;
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills;
  • Team building and conflict resolution skills.
