Your Purpose

The Senior Director, Human Resources will lead the strategic direction and full spectrum of HR functions for a newly launched entity within the Cruise Division of the MSC Group (CTL). This role will shape the people strategy, organisational design, and culture of a growing international business while ensuring alignment with the Group’s global standards. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the Senior Director will oversee all aspects of HR governance, talent management, and organisational development to enable sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Your Impact

• Define and execute the HR vision, strategy, and operating model for the entity in alignment with the Group’s global people agenda and long-term business objectives.

• Partner with executive leadership to design the organisational structure, define workforce requirements, and ensure talent strategies support current and future business needs.

• Build, lead, and develop the HR team to ensure delivery of high-quality HR services and strategic support to all departments.

• Foster a strong, inclusive, and high-performance culture that reflects MSC’s values and drives engagement, collaboration, and accountability.

• Oversee compliance with local labor laws and Group HR policies, ensuring robust governance and risk management practices.

• Direct strategic workforce planning and recruitment initiatives to attract and retain top talent. Champion the employer brand to position the entity as an employer of choice in the industry.

• Design and oversee competitive, equitable, and performance-driven compensation and benefits frameworks, ensuring internal consistency and external competitiveness.

• Implement leadership and talent development frameworks that strengthen managerial capability and support career growth across the organisation.

• Lead change management and HR transformation initiatives, ensuring organisational agility and continuous improvement in HR systems, processes, and culture.

• Serve as the key interface between the entity and MSC Cruises HR functions, ensuring alignment on strategic initiatives, systems (HRIS), and compliance frameworks.

• Act as a key HR stakeholder in the setup and integration of new legal entities globally, ensuring seamless HR alignment, local compliance, and cultural consistency.

Your Journey so far

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or related field.

• 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 8+ years in a senior leadership role within an international or matrix organisation.

• Proven track record in building and leading HR functions, ideally in a dynamic, fast-scaling or newly established business environment.

• Strong understanding of organisational design, talent strategy, and change management.

• Solid knowledge of global HR governance and labor regulations.
