Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine ocean travel, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Trade Event Professional to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys and to responsible for leading and managing all event-related initiatives and trade training programs aimed at promoting Explora Journeys. This role will ensure that trade partners, travel agents, and event participants fully understand and can communicate the brand's value, leading to business growth and increased engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create impactful, world-class events that reflect the luxury nature of the brand. This role is based in the office out of our Headquarters in Geneva.

Your Impact

• Lead the planning, execution, and ROI evaluation of global trade events, roadshows, and exclusive brand showcases. Ensure events align with the company's guidelines and objectives to deliver exceptional experiences that increase awareness and consideration.
• Develop and deliver engaging and effective training modules for trade partners, educating them on the brand’s USPs, product offerings, and services.
• Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure events and training programs align with broader business goals.
• Serve as a key brand ambassador at events, ensuring the luxury identity of Explora Journeys is communicated consistently and effectively.
• Oversee event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and manage resources to ensure cost-effective delivery of high-impact events and training sessions.
• Analyse feedback and metrics to improve the effectiveness of future events. Provide post-event reports to senior management.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends in luxury event management and training, applying innovative approaches to enhance participant experiences.

Your Journey so far

• Proven experience in event management and trade training within a luxury or hospitality brand.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to delivering excellence.

Your Essentials

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in engaging diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• High level of flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and environments.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong budget management skills and vendor negotiation experience.
• Ability to travel internationally as required.
