F&B Purchasing Agent

Your Purpose

The F&B Purchasing Agent manages the ordering process, ensuring excellence of service and smooth operations.

Your Impact

• Ensure orders execution by processing products requests;

• Maintain direct contact with suppliers and supervise purchasing orders issuing and confirmation by suppliers;

• Search for products when not available from contracted suppliers;

• Manage discrepancy activities and related issues;

• Collect data for order fulfillment reporting activities;

• Notify all relevant anomalies to the team manager;

• Ensure product delivery to MSC vessels and Warehouses, while suggesting process improvement opportunities;

• Liaise with onboard staff to ensure efficient ordering and loading operations;

Your Journey so far

Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience

Your Essentials

• Previous working experience in the role, minimum 3 years;

• Good understanding of supply chain activities and best practices;

• Fluent English and Italian;

• MS Office literate, knowledge of procurement platform is an advantage;

• Good organizational and problem solving skills, ability to prioritize and follow-up;

• Ability to cope well with pressure and work to deadlines.
