Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers. 

Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights and building advanced analytical solutions that directly impact business performance? We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Revenue Management team. In this role, you will leverage data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning to support demand forecasting, pricing optimisation, and revenue growth initiatives, while industrialising models into scalable production solutions. This role is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Your Impact

• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to optimise revenue performance.
• Design, develop, and deploy predictive models to forecast demand and support pricing and inventory optimisation strategies.
• Apply time series analysis and machine learning techniques to improve forecasting accuracy and decision support tools.
• Develop, manage, and enhance interactive web applications and dashboards for data visualisation and insight delivery.
• Perform web scraping and integrate external data sources relevant to revenue management and market intelligence.
• Translate analytical results into clear, actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision making.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Review, document, and maintain code to ensure robustness, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of models and tools.
• Stay up to date with emerging data science methodologies, tools, and industry trends.

Your Journey so far

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within travel, hospitality, transportation, or related industries.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. Knowledge of C# is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and large-scale data processing environments.
• Experience using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modelling, and time series analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and explain complex datasets.

Your Essentials

• Experience in industrialising models and deploying them into production environments.
• Practical experience with Docker, Jenkins, and similar CI/CD and deployment tools.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data architecture principles.
• Experience with web scraping tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
