Your Purpose
The HR Business Partner will act as the strategic HR representative for MSC offices across the South American region, mainly Brazil and Argentina. This role operates under the guidance of the HR Leader South America and in strict alignment with Headquarters (HQ) directives, ensuring consistent implementation of global HR strategies at regional and local levels.
The position supports the business by driving talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, employee engagement, and performance management initiatives across the region. The role ensures strong alignment with corporate guidelines while enabling business growth, strengthening organizational capabilities, and fostering a high-performance culture adapted to local realities.
Your Impact
Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders across South America, aligned with the regional HR strategy defined by the HR Leader South America and global HR guidelines.
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, and headcount management in line with business priorities and corporate governance.
- Ensure local implementation and compliance with global HR policies, frameworks, and initiatives defined by Headquarters.
- Provide strategic insights and regional HR updates to the HR Leader South America.
- Maintain strong alignment between regional business needs and corporate HR standards.
Talent Management & Organizational Development
- Support the execution of the performance management cycle in accordance with HQ timelines and processes.
- Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions in coordination with regional HR leadership and HQ.
- Contribute to leadership development and employee capability-building initiatives.
- Partner with managers to strengthen engagement, retention, and organizational culture aligned with MSC values.
Employee Relations & Labor Compliance
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters across Brazil and other South American countries, escalating sensitive or high-risk matters to the HR Leader South America when required.
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian labor legislation and coordinate with local HR contacts or external advisors in other jurisdictions.
- Support disciplinary processes, investigations, and conflict resolution in line with corporate governance.
- Proactively monitor labor risks and recommend mitigation actions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Support and operate the project of job structure redesign operated by Corporate HR and local HR
- Support compensation review processes and incentive cycles in close coordination with regional HR leadership and HQ.
- Ensure compensation practices are compliant, equitable, and aligned with corporate standards.
HR Operations & Governance
- Ensure effective execution of HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, contracts, mobility, etc.) aligned with corporate policies.
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Monitor HR KPIs and provide structured reporting to the HR Leader South America and HQ.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of HR processes across the region
Your Journey so far
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field. Postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of solid HR generalist experience, preferably within multinational organizations.
- Proven experience as HR Business Partner supporting senior leadership.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor law; exposure to other South American labor legislations is highly desirable.
- Advanced English and Spanish (mandatory, written and spoken).

- Experience managing regional or multi-country HR scope is a plus.
