Your Purpose
As a Security Guard on board, your main responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, crew, and the vessel. You will support daily security operations, including access control, patrols, surveillance, and incident response, in compliance with MSC procedures and the ISPS Code.
Working closely with the Security Management Team, you will monitor restricted areas, report suspicious activities, enforce the Master’s Rules and Regulations, and participate in safety and security drills. Your vigilance and professionalism help ensure compliance and contribute to a secure and reassuring onboard environment.

Your Journey So Far
We are looking for someone who has:
• Fluency in English at minimum B2 level
• Completion of all mandatory STCW certifications, including PDSD
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to successfully complete the MSC Security Familiarisation Programme
• Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and decisive during incidents
• High levels of integrity, reliability, and professionalism
• Physical fitness required to perform patrol duties, emergency response, and shipboard security operations
Previous experience in military, law enforcement, or a recognised security role, as well as experience on board ISPS-compliant vessels, will be considered an advantage.
Your Essentials
• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certifications
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow established security procedures
• High level of situational awareness and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Professional attitude and ability to work collaboratively with the onboard Security Management Team
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment
• Willingness to obtain Use of Force and Conflict Resolution certification, if required
• Genuine commitment to safety, security, and protecting people and company assets
