Your Purpose

Reporting to the Planning & Fulfillment Coordinator, the Purchasing Agent works with merchandising and planning teams as well as the forwarding and logistic teams to coordinate the merchandise activities.

The Retail Department aims to maximise the economic return by defining the best retail offer and by delivering a best-in-class shopping experience for our guests. 

Your Impact

  • Process purchase orders for the assigned categories and follow up on all shipments.
  • Work with vendor partners to improve/maximize fill-rates, timely shipping, and vendor compliance.
  • Collaborate with Logistics on inbound and outbound product flow for enhanced speed-to-market initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues regarding performance and flow of goods.
  • Check Invoice/PO discrepancies and facilitate the communication between Finance and vendors to solve payment issues.
  • Identify loading dates according to Retail Global Calendar.
  • Ensure the goods are delivered at the warehouse or alongside respecting the agreed dates.
  • Load the order confirmation on time to enable the warehouse to prepare custom documentation and the ships to load the merchandise in the system.
  • Communicate with the Onboard retail teams to foster collaboration.
  • Manage delivery delays with vendors and modify confirmation of shipment if needed.
  • Maintain the Cargo communication.

Your Journey so far

  • University Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain, or Procurement, or equivalent qualification/working experience.
  • Relevant working experience in replenishment and/or planning, preferably in the Retail sector.

Your Essentials

  • Experience in retail or planning with strong analytical skills.
  • MS Office literate with good knowledge and use of Excel.
  • Good understanding of supply chain activities and best practices.
  • Fluent in English and in Italian. Any additional language is a plus.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Target oriented and proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to work, adapting quickly and effectively to unexpected changes.
  • Very good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and follow-up and to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Proactive and responsive, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
