Your Purpose

The Casting Manager is responsible for casting, onboarding and performance quality and behaviour for all performers across all MSC brands’ fleet entertainment, during rehearsals and throughout their performance contract onboard.

Based in Scotland (UK), the role ensures cast members are artistically suitable, fully compliant, operationally ready for rehearsals and vessel deployment and serves as their direct shoreside representative for on-board performers. Working in close collaboration with external Entertainment Agencies, Crew Services, Entertainment Operations and Shipboard Management, the Casting Manager supports consistent entertainment standards and brand delivery across the fleet.

Your Impact

•    Ensures Casting & Talent Management maintains a high level of talent
•    Sources, auditions and casts performers for all fleet entertainment programs
•    Leads and collaborates with a global casting team to secure top-tier talent
•    Presents complete cast line-ups to senior leadership for approval
•    Conducts auditions worldwide, both in-person and virtually
•    Maintains and manages a centralised fleetwide casting database and talent pipeline
•    Collaborates with HR and Crew Services for cast onboarding
•    Acts as the primary point of contact for cast members, agents, HR and Crew Services, pre-contract and during the contract
•    Ensures completion and approval of all contracts, medicals, visas and compliance documentation
•    Confirms cast readiness for travel to rehearsal venues and assigned vessels
•    Aligns casting and onboarding timelines with rehearsal schedules and vessel deployment plans
•    Supports emergency replacements and short-notice cast changes as required
•    Provides input on re-engagement, coaching or replacement decisions
•    Specials projects as assigned

Your Journey so far

•    Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the entertainment sector and cruise industry
•    Demonstrated expertise in casting, talent management or operations within these fields
•    Strong understanding of cruise industry onboarding, documentation and compliance processes
•    Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills
•    Strong project management capability with a solution-oriented mindset
•    High level of cultural awareness and understanding of global markets
•    Confident communicator with strong people and leadership skills
•    Computer literate (Microsoft Office and related tools)
•    Willingness to travel internationally

Your Essentials

•    Proven experience in casting, talent management and operations within the cruise and entertainment industry
•    Strong understanding of cruise industry onboarding, documentation and compliance processes
•    Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills
•    Strong project management capability with a solution-oriented mindset
•    High level of cultural awareness and understanding of global markets
•    Confident communicator with strong people and leadership skills
•    Computer literate (Microsoft Office and related tools)
•    Willingness to travel internationally
•    Proficiency in Business English and Italian is advantageous
•    Existing right to live and work in the UK / Ability to relocate to Scotland (UK)
