Asst. Carpenter

Your Purpose

To ensure the efficiency and maintenance of all areas and equipment, specifically within the guest and crew areas.

Your Impact

1.Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of furniture of guests and crew accommodations not limited to public areas, bars, theatre, lounges, restaurants, bars, and all other venues throughout the ship. Including passive fire structure such as Fire Screen Doors.

2.Provides quantities and specifications of materials necessary for the relevant maintenance in constant cooperation with Head Of Department. 

Your Journey So Far

1.Minimum of 2 years professional experience as a skilled Carpenter

2.Ability to read, speak and write fluently in English. Proficiency in other language(s) is a plus. 

3. Aptitude for basic mathematics in calculating proportions, ratios, and measurements

.4.Knowledge of materials, and the tools involved in construction or repair

.5.Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

6.Excellent attention to detail, practical and problem-solving skills

7.Relevant knowledge in carpeting and coverings

8.Ability to perform finishing carpentry with acceptable quality standards while producing the least possible waste of material.

Your Essentials

Possesses a valid Passport, Seaman Book and STCW
