HR Specialist

Your Purpose

As a HR Specialist, you support the Shipboard HR Director in delivering positive, inclusive, and well-organized crew experience on board. Your role focuses on crew onboarding, welfare, and engagement, ensuring that all processes are executed smoothly and in line with company standards. You contribute to creating a supportive working environment by coordinating onboarding activities, monitoring crew areas, and supporting initiatives that enhance crew wellbeing, satisfaction, and engagement throughout the contract.

Your Impact

You play an active role in the day-to-day execution of onboard HR activities, working closely with onboard departments to ensure an effective and welcoming onboarding process for all embarking crew members. You support crew welfare initiatives, engagement events, and familiarization activities, while helping to maintain high standards in crew living and recreational areas. 

Through regular inspections, coordination, and follow-up, you help ensure compliance with company procedures, MLC requirements, and HESS standards. Your contribution supports crew satisfaction, engagement, and retention, directly impacting overall onboard performance.

Your Journey So Far

We are looking for someone who have:

• Proven experience in Human Resources, hospitality, or a related role

• Educational background in Human Resources, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred

• Experience supporting onboarding, employee engagement, or welfare activities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment

• Fluent spoken and written English; additional European languages are an advantage
