Team Restaurant Supervisor

Your Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Team Restaurant Supervisor is to provide quality service standards in the Host Mess in line with Explora Journeys standards.

Your Impact

• Works closely with the Restaurant management to ensure that all Hosts assigned in the Host Mess follow the service culture and standards of Explora Journeys.

• Attends Hosts needs by providing a courteous, friendly, efficient, and professional service at all times.

• Ensure that the necessary mise-en-place for each meal is prepared and maintained accordingly throughout the opening hours.

• Coordinate with the Restaurant Management the daily schedule and anticipate the needs for additional assistance.

• Lead and assist the team members assigned to the respective duties in the Mess to ensure smooth operation.

• Oversee employees' performance, identify their development needs and consequently provide them with the necessary guidance and support.

• Ensures that all necessaries’ requisitions are placed in order to maintain sufficient stock for each service.

• Possesses full knowledge of Public Health rules and regulations and always maintains high PH standards.

• Supervise and monitor the correct application of food safety procedures and food quality requirements related to all processes.

Your Journey So Far

• Previous experience in a similar position in an International Cruise Company, or in a busy 5-star hotel/resort.

• Intermediate knowledge on food safety. • Communicates effectively with the senior management.

• Possesses ability to lead and make decisions. Experienced in coaching subordinates.

• Must be cost and quality conscious.

• Sticks to specific scheduled working hours yet is flexible if circumstances require it.

• Experience and/or training in the hospitality field.

• Proficiency in Computers.

• Microsoft programs to include but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.

• Food Safety/HACCP certificate required.
