Your Purpose

Join our new MSC Cruises Excellence Hub as an HR Manager and shape the people strategy behind a fast-growing, high-volume commercial operation.
You will support the build of a multilingual and dynamic environment, attracting, onboarding, and retaining talented sales professionals who thrive in a competitive, fast-paced setting.
With a strong focus on growth and continuity, you will play a key role in building a sustainable talent pipeline, strengthening workforce stability, and creating the right foundations for a high-performing hub.

Your Impact

HR Leadership

  • Translate site growth targets into practical HR plans covering hiring, onboarding, retention and workforce stability 
  • Support the build-up of a high-performing multilingual sales population aligned with business needs 
  • Help shape the people environment needed to support a commercial, target-driven and incentive-based workforce 
  • Contribute to creating the right employee proposition to attract and retain commercial talent in the Valencia market

 

Full Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, people processes and HR reporting across the employee lifecycle 
  • Develop and support initiatives aimed at reducing attrition, improving retention and limiting absenteeism 
  • Ensure smooth employee integration and a strong onboarding experience for new joiners 
  • Manage and monitor key people data across recruitment, payroll, engagement surveys and compliance-related tracking tools 
  • Support the business through rapid hiring waves, seasonal workforce needs and evolving Spanish labour or regulatory requirements
  • Support key people topics including attendance, payroll coordination, local HR administration and employee documentation 
  • Monitor key people metrics and help identify areas of risk or improvement related to workforce stability and employee engagement

 

Stakeholder Partnership & Culture Building

  • Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Training, Finance, business leadership and global HR teams 
  • Act as a trusted local HR partner, helping the business manage people-related challenges in a pragmatic and balanced way 
  • Act as a key link between the local hub and headquarters, ensuring alignment between global HR guidelines and local market needs 
  • Support employee relations topics and maintain constructive dialogue with local employee representatives and unions, in line with business needs and local practices 
  • Build strong relationships with universities, local institutions, fairs, chambers of commerce and talent communities to support recruitment and employer visibility 
  • Help strengthen MSC Cruises’ local employer presence and attractiveness in the Valencia market 
  • Support a culture that combines performance, accountability, engagement and inclusion 
  • Help create an environment where employees feel motivated, supported and set up to succeed in a competitive, multilingual sales environment
  • Build an inclusive and engaging culture aligned with MSC values, helping employees feel motivated, supported and set up to perform in a sales environment operating across extended hours (12/7)

Your Journey so far

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR generalist, people management or talent leadership roles, ideally in fast-paced and sales/performance-driven environments 
  • Strong experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, retention and employee relations in growing or evolving organisations 
  • Solid knowledge of Spanish labour law, local HR practices and employee lifecycle management 
  • Proven experience working in multicultural and multilingual environments, ideally with customer-facing or commercial populations 
  • Previous experience in sales-driven, service-oriented or performance-based environments is highly valued 
  • Strong understanding of the people dynamics typical of a commercial workforce, including motivation, retention, absenteeism and employee stability 
  • Experience supporting the launch or set-up of a new site, team or business unit is a strong advantage 
  • Strong knowledge of the local Valencia / Spanish talent market and employment landscape is highly desirable

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law or a related field.
  • A strong academic background is important; however what will be most critical for success in this role is the depth of practical HR experience, local market knowledge and ability to operate effectively in a complex, multilingual and performance-driven environment.

  • Strong understanding of the Valencia talent market and local employment landscape 
  • Ability to attract, engage and retain talent in a competitive and fast-moving environment 
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust across different levels of the organisation 
  • Confidence in managing people topics in a commercial environment, where performance, incentives, motivation and retention are key 
  • Hands-on and pragmatic approach, with the ability to move comfortably between operational HR matters and broader people topics 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both locally and with headquarters 
  • Good judgement, resilience and ability to operate effectively in a demanding and evolving environment

Your Essentials

  • Fluency in Spanish and English required; additional languages are a strong advantage, especially Italian, French, German 
  • Full right to work in Spain 
  • Strong local market knowledge and a well-established connection to the Valencia employment ecosystem are highly valued 
  • Comfortable working in a multilingual and commercially driven environment 
  • Experience working with external recruitment partners and/or RPO models is highly valued 
  • Availability to support a rapid ramp-up phase (0–12 months) in a fast-growing sales environment
