Description

The Activities & Events Associate delivers high-quality, individualized, and technically excellent programming across aquatics, family/children’s activities, and guest events. This dynamic position is focused on curating memorable guest experiences while upholding the standards of luxury at sea.

Essential Duties

  1. Support in the set up and execution of guest programming—adjusting to the needs and demographics of each voyage.
  2. Directly interact with guests, quickly identifying and fulfilling expectations to maximize satisfaction.
  3. Host activities ranging from guest tours, community building events, educational workshops and themed events. 
  4. Deliver safe, engaging aquatic and water sports programming.
  5. Provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for all guests - especially children and families.
  6. Support cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations (including arrival/departure duties, daily briefings, and emergency drills).
  7. Collect and report feedback, proactively suggesting improvements to further enhance the guest experience.
  8. Luxury service mindset, driven by the passion to create lasting memories.
  9. Experience in at least one of the following areas: Aquatics, Children/Youth Programs, Guest Events. Candidates with skills matching more than one core competency are preferred.
  10. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt swiftly to changing guest needs.
  11. Commitment to safety, quality, and brand standards.
  12. Excellent communication, initiative, and organizational skills.


Core Competencies

  • Aquatics
    • Demonstrated experience working in watersports 
    • Lifeguard Certification
    • In possession of, or willing to obtain, Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Powerboat Level 2 Certification
    • Experience with the following equipment: Fliteboard, Seabob, kayaks, Paddle board 


  • Ritz Kids 
    • Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation or related field
    • Experience in a similar position working with children between the ages of four (4) and (12) twelve years of age  


  • Events 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in event management or combined experience in a related field 
    • Experience in planning, producing, and delivering social and/or corporate events 
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills for guest engagement, leading and hosting activities


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position
  2. Valid First Aid certification  
  3. Experience working onboard or in hospitality for a luxury brand is considered an asset


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The Lady or Gentleman must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be able to communicate in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
