Your Purpose
We are excited to be hiring for an experienced BIM/Revit Technician who can play a key role in supporting the design, documentation and digital asset management for newbuild vessels within MSC Cruise Management UK.
You will help to create, maintain and coordinate accurate 3D models, drawings, and structured data for our cruise ships and assets using BIM methodologies and Revit-based workflows. Alongside, you will adhere to ISO 19650 BIM Information Management standards and procedures.
The role contributes directly to design clarity, efficient project coordination, explorative innovation and long-term digital asset value for the organisation.
Your Impact
- Develops detailed Revit models for architectural systems
- Creates accurate 3D geometry, families, assemblies and parametric components specific to MSC standards of vessels and layout
- Updates models based on design development, mark-ups, feedback from internal/external stakeholders on a project
- Maintains high modelling standards aligned with MSC CM BIM Protocols and ISO 19650 principles
- Produces clear and accurate drawings in 2D format, following MSC CM standards
- Supports technical documentation for construction, in-use and asset management
- Maintains structured BIM data environments (CDE), ensuring correct metadata, naming conventions, revision control and file organisation
- Assists in developing and maintaining asset tagging for components, rooms, decks and serialised equipment if applicable
- Consolidates and export BIM data for downstream uses (COBie outputs, schedules, databased, digital twins)
- Supports design coordination meetings with Autodesk Construction Cloud federated models or Revit coordination views
- Identifies clashes between disciplines and support resolution workflows
- Communicates interfaces between architectural, structural, MEP and interior outfitting
- Works closely with Head of BIM, Architecture/Design team, Interior Designers and the PMT (Project Management Team)
- Prepares BIM models and visuals for management, shipyard, external stakeholders and suppliers
- Participates in project planning, design reviews and BIM coordination sessions
- Supports digital transformation initiatives (digital twins, asset management, model-based workflows)
- Grows specialist knowledge of cruise ship systems and marine BIM best practices
Your Journey so far
- Consistently delivered BIM and complex drawing outputs on time and to a high standard
- Proficiently followed the relevant and established BIM standards and contributed to their continual improvement
- Able to maintain a structured, organised working file environment
- Actively participated in coordination meetings and design/technical reviews
- Proven experience with cruise ship or vessel layouts
- Proven experience with building layouts and systems
- Proven understanding of outfitting, cabins/hotels, public spaces and technical spaces
Your Essentials
- Bachelors or Foundation degree in one of, but not limited to; Construction, Architectural Technology, Digital Construction/BIM and/or a Bachelor’s degree in a related built-environment subject.
- Ability to travel internationally
- Existing right to live and work in the UK
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture) – 5 years+
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud – 3 years+
- In depth understanding of architectural/engineering drawings, construction documentation and layouts
- Ability to create and maintain Revit Families and Libraries
- Good/Basic proficiency in Rhino3D – 1 year+
- Good proficiency in Enscape and/or TwinMotion for Revit – 1-2 years+
- High attention to detail and precision
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight project deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to improving workflows
- Ability to take initiative and responsibility and be transparent
- Excellent knowledge and experience of ISO 19650 BIM Information Management standards and procedures
