Your Purpose
The Communications/PR Coordinator is responsible for the strategic management of the brand’s reputation, brand and product promotion through public relations initiatives, and the alignment of corporate narratives. This professional acts as an internal consultant for senior leadership, ensuring that local communication are in alignment with the headquarters' global guidelines, while simultaneously meeting the specific needs of the regional market and coordinating brand experience initiatives with the press.
Your Impact
- Issues Communication Management: Actively support with crisis communications and issues management to help protect MSC Cruises’ reputation in Brazil. Working closely with the global corporate communications team, help coordinate the company's crisis communications and issues management response strategy for urgent media matters. Draft messaging/statements, and act as a strategic communications counsel to advise on issues management protocols and responses.
- Strategic Relations Management: Support the PR Lead in developing and delivering the annual communications plan, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives. Identifying and executing creative ideas and campaigns that effectively communicate the brand, products, and key messages to target audiences
- Ongoing Media Relations: Lead the interface with the media and opinion leaders, creating press releases, handling press inquiries, and official statements and planning and execution of relationship events and press conferences, ensuring message alignment and high-quality exposure for the company.
- Press Trips and Brand Experiences Management: Plan, organize, and execute press trips within Brazil and abroad. Responsibilities range from guest curation and defining strategic itineraries to operational logistics and on-site oversight of activities, aiming to generate high-quality editorial coverage.
- Executive Communication and Leadership Support: Provide advisory in the preparation of official positioning, speeches, talking points, and high-complexity presentations for spokespeople and the Board of Directors.
- Internal Communication and Employee Engagement: Develop and lead communication strategies aimed at the internal audience to strengthen engagement and employees' sense of belonging. This includes managing proprietary channels, campaign planning, disseminating corporate culture, and supporting Organizational Change communication projects, ensuring that global messages are translated relevance to the local context.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Responsible for consolidating indicators (KPIs) and preparing periodic reports on the effectiveness of all actions and results of the Communication area, ensuring visibility of achieved results and providing the foundation for recommendations for future strategies.
- Agency Management – lead the external PR agency, acting as the main point of contact to ensure strategic communications support aligns with business and communications objectives. This includes setting clear briefs, overseeing campaigns, reviewing media materials, monitoring performance against KPIs, and identifying opportunities to enhance brand reputation and visibility.
- Budget Control and Financial Efficiency: Responsible for the rigorous monitoring and management of the Communication area's annual budget execution. Supervise contracts with agencies and third-party suppliers, ensuring maximum efficiency of financial investments and strict compliance with established compliance policies and approval workflows.
Your Journey so far
- Academic Background: Degree in Social Communication (Journalism, Public Relations, or Advertising). Specialization in Corporate Communication or related fields will be considered a plus.
- Professional Experience: Solid career path in Communication, with a minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in large international or travel companies. Proven track record in issues management, media relations, execution of large-scale public relations projects, and experience in high-complexity corporate environments requiring autonomy and interface with senior leadership is essential.
- Fluent English (Mandatory).
- Availability for national and international travel, monthly, according to the calendar of events, season launches, and the company's public relations initiatives.
- Advanced Office Package.
