Accounting & Controlling Specialist

Your Purpose

MSC Cruises is one of the world's four largest cruise companies and part of the MSC Group, the global leader in container shipping. We are establishing a new multilingual B2C contact centre in Valencia to serve European countries. 

This is a genuinely foundational moment for the operation, with direct exposure to our headquarters in Geneva and real room to grow as the hub scales.

You will be the financial and controlling reference for the Valencia Hub, reporting directly to the CFO for Spain and working closely with the Swiss parent company. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, building processes in an environment that is still taking shape, and bringing the rigour needed to scale them properly.  

Your Impact

Accounting & Reporting

• Managing local accounting under Spanish and  IFRS standards
• Preparing and submitting quarterly models and annual accounts
• Producing periodic Group reporting to Geneva HQ in line with established formats and deadlines
• Handling intercompany relationships with the Spanish entity (Madrid) and the Swiss parent company 

Controlling & Incentives

• Analyze, and consolidate performance and incentive data, producing ex-post reports and evaluations to support the business 
• Acting as the main liaison between Operations, HR and Finance on all incentive-related matters 

Planning & Analysis

• Contributing to the annual budget and forecasts 
• Monitoring budget variances and proposing corrective actions 
• Developing the analytical tools and dashboards needed to support management decisions (advanced Excel, Power BI or equivalent) 

Your Journey so far

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or equivalent
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and/or controlling
• Proficiency in SAP 
• Advanced Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, automation)
• Native or bilingual Spanish; high level of English (spoken and written)
• Solid hands-on knowledge of IFRS
• Proactive and organised, with the ability to work independently in a build-up environment 

Your Essentials

• Experience in contact centres or high-headcount sales structures with structured incentive plans 
• Background in results-based bonus model management (design, calculation, internal audit) 
• Familiarity with transfer pricing / intercompany accounting 
• Additional languages (French, Italian, Portuguese) 
• Experience in multinational or scaling environments
