- Mechanic reports to Chief Engineer while onboard and shore side RCMT Manager. The Chief Engineer may delegate at his/her discretion.
Basic Function:
- The above mentioned is experienced and skilled in welding of all types of metals and alloys commonly used onboard. He/she shall rotate between vessels as delegated by the Manager, RCMT to carry out specific welding and repair projects. Additional duties as directed by department head and RCMT Manager.
Reponsibilities:
- RCL places the highest value on the environment, and all employees shall do the same. Those assigned to this position shall work with superiors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company's environmental policies and be committed to safeguard the environment. He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if any environmental system does not function properly.
- Perform assigned welding and repair jobs given by the by the Chief Engineer.
- Ensures that the welding is done the correct way according to the highest standards and to the satisfaction of the Chief Engineer
- Responsible for the transfer of RCMT tools from ship to ship
