Position Summary
Our cooks play an essential role in ensuring each of our guests' meals is an unforgettable experience, by carefully preparing all food items according to our standards and always observing the highest level of sanitation. Previous cooking experience and a passion for the culinary arts make an ideal candidate for this role. A high school diploma (or its equivalent) is required, along with strong skills in management, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal relations. If you also have experience in a similar role in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service, you’re the person we want!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in the teppan or grill station entertaining guest with various skills and extravagant exhibitions and performance
- Observe proper sanitation and personal hygiene in accordance with applicable standards
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
- Prepare mis en place, execute portioning and plating, and vegetable cutting etc.
Skills and Qualifications
- Culinary degree or culinary training certificate
- 3-5 years of Teppanyaki experience in an upscale cruise ship, hotel, resort
- Good command of English (oral and written)
- Must be willing to work onboard for 6-8 months
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
