Your Purpose
MSC Cruises, the world's third-largest cruise line brand, is expanding its Procurement team in the USA.
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, USA, the F&B Procurement Manager will lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, and category management activities for Food & Beverage categories supporting MSC Cruises vessels operating in North America and the private island. This role will manage a team of four procurement professionals and partners closely with MSC's Global Procurement teams in Genoa, Operations stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure product availability, service excellence, cost optimization, and supply chain continuity across a complex cruise operation.
This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office in Miami.
Your Impact
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives and vendor management programs for Food & Beverage categories, primarily across the United States, with occasional support for Caribbean suppliers.
- Lead supplier selection, sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management to ensure quality, service, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Manage supplier agreements and renewals, including ongoing negotiations for six-month and one-year contract terms.
- Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to identify industry trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships across Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Global Category teams to drive alignment and business results.
- Partner closely with MSC's Genoa-based Procurement organization and broader operational stakeholders to support sourcing strategies and business priorities.
- Support a complex cruise supply chain network, ensuring uninterrupted supply and service to vessels operating throughout North America.
- Provide leadership during operational disruptions, supplier challenges, and other high-pressure situations requiring rapid decision-making and problem resolution.
- Prepare and present supplier performance reviews, sourcing strategies, business cases, and cost-saving initiatives to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, U.S. federal regulations, port requirements, and applicable food safety standards, including USDA, FDA, and USPH requirements.
- Participate in on-call support and occasional weekend coverage as required to support vessel operations and business continuity.
Your Journey so far
- Bachelor's degree requires, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience within Food & Beverage, hospitality, cruise, travel, or related industries.
- Minimum 2–3 years of people leadership experience with responsibility for managing and developing teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and category management.
- Cruise industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing complex supply chains and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to develop executive-level presentations and recommendations.
- Experience with procurement and ERP systems such as CrunchTime, SAP Ariba, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with global stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
