Job Purpose

The role is aimed at owning the planning, coordination and delivery of the department’s AI initiatives, ensuring that each use case is delivered on time, within budget and to the expected quality.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of MSC’s AI use cases: planning, scheduling, resourcing and steering work from idea through to production.
  • Facilitate the team’s agile ways of working — sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives — adapting the process to the team’s needs.
  • Track and manage dependencies, risks and blockers across engineering, data, architecture, vendors and the business, and clear the path for delivery.
  • Maintain delivery plans, status reports, dashboards and documentation.
  • Provide clear, honest reporting to stakeholders on progress, timelines, scope and risk, including executive updates.
  • Manage scope and expectations across competing priorities, keeping commitments realistic and delivery predictable.
  • Oversee delivery budgets and timelines, keeping work cost-aware and on track.
  • Coordinate across squads and external partners to keep multi-team initiatives aligned.
  • Champion continuous improvement, turning retrospectives and delivery metrics into better ways of working.
  • Coordinate stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of actions.

Qualifications

  • English and Italian as primary working languages.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, Management or related fields.
  • 5+ years in delivery, project or programme management roles, ideally within software, data or AI environments.
  • A proven record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex technical work on time and within budget.
  • Strong command of agile delivery with the judgement to apply it pragmatically.
  • Ability to manage dependencies, risks and blockers across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Ability to prepare clear status reports, action trackers, meeting minutes and executive summaries.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and senior business stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to identify issues, dependencies, risks and follow-up actions.
  • Sufficient technical literacy to engage credibly with engineering teams on AI delivery (understanding of the software development lifecycle and what makes AI projects different); the role does not require coding.
  • Fluency with delivery tooling such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence or comparable.
  • An agile or project delivery certification will be considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience delivering AI, machine-learning or data-intensive projects will be considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AI governance or regulatory regimes such as the EU AI Act will be considered an advantage.
  • Background in travel, hospitality or another large-scale consumer business will be considered an advantage.
