JOB PURPOSE

MSC Cruises is the world’s third-largest cruise brand as well as the leader in Europe, South America, the Gulf region, and Southern Africa with more market share in addition to deployed capacity than any other player. MSC Cruises – the contemporary brand - has a modern fleet of 22 cruise ships with three new vessels due to be launched in 2025, 2026, and 2027. MSC is looking for an IT Cloud Analyst. Design, implement, and operate cloud-native infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to support MSC Cruises’ global IT services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    Implement and maintain cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure aligned with MSC architecture and standards
•    Manage and optimize Azure environments ensuring availability, performance, and cost efficiency
•    Support and execute cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to Azure platforms
•    Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
•    Monitor Azure environments, ensuring proactive incident management and performance optimization
•    Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions in the cloud
•    Apply Azure security best practices including IAM, encryption, and compliance with corporate policies
•    Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues across environments
•    Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

•    10+ years of experience in cloud engineering with strong focus on Microsoft Azure
•    Experience in enterprise environments with large-scale cloud platforms and services
•    Fluency in English required; additional languages considered an advantage
•    Advanced hands-on knowledge of Azure services (compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
•    Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise application delivery, security, and API management architectures using Azure Front Door, Azure Application Gateway, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Azure API Management.
•    Excellent knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID (RBAC, Conditional Access, PIM), Azure CLI, Power Shell scripting.
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) preferred
•    Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a hands-on technical mindset
•    Ability to manage complex cloud environments and deliver under pressure
•    Strong collaboration and communication skills across global teams
•    Continuous learning mindset with focus on cloud technologies and automation

VISA REQUIREMENTS

•    Right to work in Italy.

WHAT WE OFFER

In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.

Contract 
-    Type of contract: Permanent
-    Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
-    Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
-    Gross annual salary (RAL): between €38.000 – €45.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
-    Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
