IT Senior Product Specialist

Job Purpose

We are looking for an IT Senior Product Specialist to maintain and configure our PMS and Onboard platforms. 

He/She will take care of our guests from cruise reservations to final ship disembarkation, focusing on the guest experience and PMS user experience. 

IT Senior Product Specialist plays a crucial role in the success of IT projects by ensuring that new features are properly configured on board and by guaranteeing a smooth transition to operations.  

Key Accountabilities

• Engage with stakeholders to elicit and document product configuration requirements; 
• Ensure and overseeing all systems setting activities related to new buildings operations; 
• Set ups and update the PMS onboard through a steady maintenance interdepartmentally (Guest and Crew Service, Excursion, Spa, Finance, Retail, F&B, Dining, Safety and Security); 
• Provides assistance and advice to the on-board departments involved in PMS settings

Qualifications

• Experience in Cruise Industry (focus on Hotel Operations); 
• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in similar roles or equivalent experiences with IT Applications for Cruise Lines; 
• Working knowledges of onboard PMS Systems and Ship Warehouse process (Otalio SPMS, Oracle SPMS, Oracle MMS, Crunchtime or similar); 
• Oracle, SQL/MySQL database Language skills; 
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, JavaScript or similar) is a plus; 
• Knowledge of Automation and Reporting Tools (PowerAutomate, PowerBi, PowerApp) is a plus; 
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a timely manner;  
• Good inter-personal and communication skills; 
• Good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; 
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment; 
• Availability to travel and outside region residencies; 
• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent); 
• Fluent English and Italian. (spoken and written); 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude

WHAT WE OFFER

In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.

Contract 
•    Type of contract: Permanent
•    Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
•    Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
•    Gross annual salary (RAL): between €32.000 – €39.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
•    Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
