JOB PURPOSE
MSC Cruises is looking for a Test Analyst to join its Digital Transformation organization.
The role will support the analysis and validation of complex end-to-end journeys involving multiple business processes, applications and technology platforms.
The successful candidate will analyses functional and technical requirements, identify the relevant test scenarios and ensure appropriate coverage across the systems involved. The role will also support business stakeholders in validating the identified scenarios from a business perspective and will work closely with the Test Lead in planning and coordinating technical-functional testing activities.
The position requires strong analytical capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Scrum Teams, business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Analyze functional and technical requirements related to complex end-to-end business journeys.
- Understand system interactions, integrations, dependencies and data flows across multiple applications and platforms.
- Identify and document technical-functional test scenarios based on business requirements, solution designs and end-to-end processes.
- Define positive, negative, alternative and exception scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Review requirements and solution documentation to identify potential gaps, ambiguities, risks and testing dependencies.
- Support business stakeholders in reviewing and validating test scenarios from a business and operational perspective.
- Work with Product Owners, Scrum Teams and cross-functional teams to review the coverage of the identified scenarios.
- Consolidate and maintain end-to-end test lists, ensuring consistency, completeness and traceability against the relevant requirements.
- Support the Test Lead in planning technical-functional testing activities, including priorities, timelines, dependencies and required resources.
- Support the organization and coordination of test sessions involving business stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Monitor the coverage and readiness of end-to-end test scenarios, escalating potential risks or blockers to the Test Lead.
- Support the analysis of defects, including the identification of impacted processes, systems and business journeys.
- Contribute to test progress reporting and provide clear updates on scenario coverage, risks, dependencies and open issues.
- Promote a structured, risk-based and quality-focused approach to end-to-end testing.
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
- Previous experience in software testing, quality assurance, business analysis or a similar role.
- Proven experience in analyzing functional and technical requirements within complex digital or IT transformation programmers.
- Experience in defining technical-functional test scenarios and validating end-to-end processes across multiple systems.
- Good understanding of integration testing, system testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Experience working with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working with Scrum Teams.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray or equivalent.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex technical and functional requirements into clear and structured test scenarios.
- Good understanding of system integrations, interfaces, APIs and data flows.
- Ability to assess test coverage and maintain traceability between requirements, journeys and test scenarios.
- Strong planning, organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Ability to facilitate working sessions involving both business and technical participants.
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced and international environment.
- Proactive approach to identifying testing gaps, dependencies and delivery risks.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a cross-functional team.
- Experience with large-scale digital transformation programmers.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience in risk-based testing and test-design techniques.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of test automation concepts and CI/CD delivery models.

WHAT WE OFFER
In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.
Contract
- Type of contract: Permanent
- Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
- Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
- Gross annual salary (RAL): between €35.000 – €42.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
- Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
