Your Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide temporary maternity leave coverage within a strategic asset and infrastructure finance environment. The successful candidate will support statutory reporting, month-end closing activities, audit coordination, technical accounting matters, and finance process improvements across a portfolio of international project entities.

This role requires strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Impact

Month-End Close and Accounting Operations

  • Support monthly accounting close activities for multiple entities and projects.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting analyses.
  • Review technical accounting transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Assist in the preparation of reporting packages and consolidation submissions.
  • Support month-end close deadlines and reporting requirements.

 

Technical Accounting Support

  • Provide accounting support for infrastructure, project, and asset-related transactions.
  • Research and document accounting treatments for specific transactions where required.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting policies and reporting practices across entities.

 

Financial Reporting and Statutory Accounts

  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements for multiple group entities.
  • Coordinate the financial statement preparation process and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements (IFRS + Swiss GAAP).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather supporting information and documentation.
  • Ensure delivery of financial statements within established reporting deadlines.

 

External Audit Coordination

  • Act as the primary finance contact for statutory audits.
  • Coordinate the provision of audit evidence and supporting schedules.
  • Manage auditor requests and follow-up actions throughout the audit cycle.
  • Support group audit activities relating to the relevant subgroup reporting perimeter.

 

Business Support and Ad Hoc Activities

  • Provide accounting support to a portfolio of project companies and special-purpose entities.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
  • Support finance-related projects and process improvement initiatives.

 

Process Improvement and Systems Implementation

  • Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of accounting processes and controls.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives and ERP-related process developments.
  • Assist with system testing, process documentation, and user support activities

Your Journey so far

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, and/or accounting. Experience in audit is a plus.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to interact effectively with advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven project management experience with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability, collaboration and willingness to support both complex and operational accounting tasks.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues through resolution.

Your Essentials

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 16, IFRIC 12 and IFRS 9).
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of accuracy, ownership and professional judgement.
