Job Purpose
MSC Cruises is seeking a Cyber Security Azure Specialist to join its Cyber Defense team.
This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional with 2–3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure security, cloud security controls, and enterprise security assessment. The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the security posture of Azure and hybrid environments by performing security assessments, validating security controls, identifying configuration weaknesses, and coordinating remediation activities with IT teams.
The position focuses on Azure security engineering, cloud security assessment, security posture improvement, Active Directory security reviews, and continuous enhancement of enterprise security controls across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and related Microsoft technologies.
Key Accountabilities
• Assess, review, and validate security configurations across Microsoft Azure subscriptions, resources, and services.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Azure security controls following Microsoft security best practices.
• Review and assess security configurations within Microsoft Entra ID and related Microsoft security services.
• Analyze and improve Conditional Access Policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and authentication security controls.
• Perform periodic security assessments of Active Directory environments, Domain Controllers, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Identify security gaps, misconfigurations, excessive privileges, weak security settings, and compliance deviations across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Track remediation activities and report on security posture improvements and risk reduction initiatives.
• Participate in cybersecurity improvement initiatives, security hardening projects, and security posture enhancement programs.
• Contribute to maintaining alignment with Microsoft security best practices, CIS Benchmarks, and organizational security standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience may be considered
• 2-3 years of experience in Cyber Security, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, or Security Engineering.
• Previous experience in a consulting company is highly preferred.
• Experience working within multinational or complex enterprise environments is considered an advantage.
• Fluent Italian (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate technical remediation activities across multiple teams.
• Strong attention to detail and security-oriented mindset.

What we offer
In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.
Contract
• Type of contract: Permanent
• Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
• Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
• Gross annual salary (RAL): between €28.000 – €35.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
• Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
