Scope: National HR leadership across The Bahamas

Projected Growth: 1,200–1,500 employees within 24 months

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Vice President Human Resources to lead and build a best-in class people function for a rapidly growing organization in The Bahamas. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for designing, implementing and scaling the full HR operating model across the country during a period of transformational growth. The VP HR will partner closely with the executive leadership to build the organization’s people capability, culture, talent infrastructure and workforce readiness. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and ensuring the organisation can attract, develop, engage and retain a high-performing workforce at scale. This role requires a commercially minded HR leader with deep expertise across all areas of Human Resources, strong execution capability, and experience operating within large, complex and matrixed multinational environments where people and culture are viewed as strategic differentiators. A major priority of the role will be establishing the HR frameworks, systems and processes required to support rapid workforce expansion, including recruitment capability, compensation and benefits architecture, learning and development, career pathways, organizational capability and employee engagement. The role will also lead the establishment and ongoing operation of a dedicated training centre in Freeport to support workforce capability building and operational readiness.

Your Impact

  • Develop and execute the HR strategy to support rapid growth and complex operations across The Bahamas.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, talent, culture and employee relations.
  • Lead workforce growth from approximately 300 to 1,200–1,500 employees, including recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning.
  • Establish and lead the organization’s training centre, including onboarding, technical training, leadership development and workforce readiness.
  • Design compensation, benefits, job architecture, career pathways, talent management and succession planning frameworks.
  • Build scalable HR policies, systems, governance, analytics and operational processes.
  • Drive employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, retention and a strong, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Oversee HR operations for a diverse, shift-based workforce, including scheduling, attendance, performance and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with Bahamian employment requirements, immigration processes and applicable workplace regulations.
  • Partner with Operations and Health & Safety to support employee welfare, safety and operational readiness.

Your Journey so far

  • Senior HR leadership experience in large, fast-paced, high-volume operational environments, ideally hospitality, tourism, cruise, resorts or similar industries.
  • Proven experience scaling HR functions, leading workforce growth and managing diverse, shift-based or multi-site teams.
  • Broad expertise across talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, learning and development, workforce planning and HR operations.
  • Experience within multinational organizations required; knowledge of Bahamian employment practices is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/MBA and professional HR certification preferred.
  • Strategic, commercially minded and results-driven HR leader.
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change in complex, multicultural environments.
