A fabulous opportunity is being presented for you to join our Hotel team as a ship based Hotel Auditor. Working closely with the Hotel General Manager and shore side operations, you will be required to monitor and audit the hotel processes and financial transactions onboard, with the view to ensuring that we are running an effective and efficient operation. The role of Hotel Auditor will primarily require you to perform independent reviews and evaluations of all operations and activities within the Hotel operation, assessing the reliability and integrity of internal controls, ensuring compliance with company and legal policies and regulations.

The successful candidate will review the adequacy of internal controls surrounding all variances, discrepancies and incidents, as requested by onboard management or Hotel Services Finance Manager. They will also check the accuracy of all End of Cruise (EOC) reports and liaise directly with shore side Finance department to ensure reports are received in a timely manner. It is your responsibility as Hotel Auditor to ensure compliance with Hotel policies and procedures by undertaking audits, both planned and impromptu in all Hotel areas, including Stores, Restaurants, Bars, Galley, Entertainment and Housekeeping. Auditing the safe/cash holdings in line with company procedures, checking safe balances and reconciling is the responsibility of the Hotel Auditor. In addition you will plan and undertake stock takes and check deliveries of goods received, assisting the Hotel General Manager to enforce stock levels onboard in all hotel areas and highlighting and checking any variances. Your attendance will be required at cost and revenue meetings with Hotel senior management where you will be expected to proactively offer advice and recommendations on cost control measures.

The overall duties and responsibilities of the Hotel Auditor will see you working closely with shore side operations to assist with the annual review of the Sarbaines-Oxley compliance programme.
