Fleet ERM Instructors Manager

JOB PURPOSE

The main objective of this role is to ensure that ERM procedures follow International and Company standards whilst acting as the line manager for the Fleet ERM instructor & auditor.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Coordinate a team of ERM instructors providing goals and visit schedules.

Keep ERM procedures updated, ensure they are in compliance with International and Company standards.

Monitor the correct application of ERM Procedure on board the Fleets vessels, highlighting best practices and room for improvement. 

Monitor VDR reviews, partaking to the incident investigation as subject matter expert.

Ensure and maintain the Emergency procedures are up to standard.

Ensure the emergency preparedness of vessels are kept up to standard. 

Participate in developing onboard eLearning Platforms.

Support in the IPM approval process for the figure assigned to the department. 

Collaborate to compete the ISM documentation as per matrix responsibility.

Attend Vessels when needed to oversees instructors' activities. 

Support in providing and developing the company courses (Engine, Environmental and Energy Saving).

Comply with budget assigned and prepare next year budget.

Follow up new projects and support existing department projects pertinent to the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Good knowledge of written and spoken English

Computer literacy: windows based programs and video editing software

In depth knowledge of maritime regulations specifically Solas, Marpol and STCW

Relevant qualification in Crisis Management

Ideally you will have sailed up to staff engineer onboard Large Cruise Vessel.

Ideally you will have some experience in teaching and/or instructing.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

The existing right to work in the UK is preferred.
