JOB PURPOSE

In accordance with Medical Standard Operation Procedures, the successful candidate will provide leadership and support regarding onboard electronic healthcare records, analyse trends regarding patient safety and satisfaction, and implement corrective actions when needed to improve clinical compliance and quality of care.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Be proficient in the function and management of SeaCare (Electronic Health Records platform).

•Be familiar with medical performance and training platforms such as Ninth Brain Suite.•Investigate deficiencies in SeaCare and liaise with the provider to find solutions and implement corrective actions.

•Liaise directly with shipboard medical staff and providers of SeaCare to offer administrative support when needed, and drive platform development according to Company requirements.

•Maintain and update training materials for shipboard staff, including information on functionality and releases.

•Conduct medical team SeaCare training onboard or remotely as required.

•Review and update SeaCare clinical workflows and protocols to align with the Company's clinical policies.

•Facilitate the implementation of best clinical practice guidelines and electronic health record integration.

•Promote excellence in clinical documentation by communicating clinical record audit findings, root causes and corrective actions.

•Identify clinical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

•Maintain and review systems and processes to monitor incidents such as medical errors, near misses and adverse events, and develop and distribute reports as required.

•Investigate medical error reports and liaise with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions including but not limited to policy review, individual performance review and training if required.

•Investigate malpractice allegations and report clinical findings.

•Provide support and relevant information for the Legal Department and Special Needs.

•Review and respond to guest or crew documentation queries as needed or requested.

•Work closely with Clinical Governance and other relevant stakeholders to analyse and report on patient safety issues, patient satisfaction, and quality of care measures.

•Travel to any vessel as a member of the Emergency Response team to assist with medical situations as deemed necessary by the Director of Medical Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

•Excellent Communication skills in English, both oral and written.

•At least 5 years of Clinical Practice (nurse / RGN) and 3 years shipboard clinical leadership experience preferred.

•Office based with some travel to vessels.

•Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and other web-based applications.

•Highly motivated to research current evidence-based guidelines and apply to maritime medicine setting.

•Strong organisational, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

•Excellent interpersonal skills.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

•Existing right to live and work in the UK.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
