The position is responsible for creating, overseeing, and monitoring all onboard marketing and communications materials, ensuring consistency with the company's brand identity strategy.
This role is further responsible for the management and maintenance of the Digital app, the Celebrity
Today content, Digital Signage Systems, and working with the onboard team to ensure both digital and print versions are functioning as intended.
The role will ensure the new versions of the applications are tested and deficiencies reported back to the Digital team. Onboard, the Digital Communication Manager will work with the revenue teams to ensure they are providing timely updates for the digital and printed versions of the onboard activation grids.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Testing of new app releases on both IOS and Android operating systems, ensuring the new code has not impacted existing functionality.
- Testing of new products added to the app, including bug fixes. Implement go-to-market strategy and marketing efforts for each new product. Collaborate with product owners responsible for new products to ensure seamless integration.
- Conducting post-voyage testing to verify the accuracy of sailing information for upcoming sailings. Ensure data is properly exchanged between the MCC and SilverWhere systems.
- Collaborate with product owners to ensure understanding of the operational impacts.
- Validate map accuracy periodically and update when venue changes occur.
- Complete app “Health Checklist” daily to verify app is working as intended.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Marketing Director to ensure that guests understand all the available opportunities within the app, and address guest log issues/concerns as instructed by the Revenue Marketing Director.
- Work with the shoreside L&D team to develop a training guide for training operations and crew on new app functionalities. Work closely with Revenue Marketing Director to educate the Revenue Services team and other key stakeholders on app features relevant to their areas and the effective handling of frequently asked questions.Participate in grid meetings to guarantee the capture of product owner activations for both app and print and join Revenue Marketing Director and Onboard Revenue team meetings as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring that all app sections and content, printed collateral, and digital signage are consistently up-to-date and accurate.
- Input content for each sailing, ensuring that at least the current cruise and one additional cruise are populated at all times. Obtain venue operating hours from product owners and enter them accordingly. Confirm the consistency of content between digital and printed material.
- Support embarkation activities in collaboration with Revenue Marketing Director and Store Manager to assist guests in accessing internet and app.
- Collaborate with the shoreside digital team to address escalated issues and resolve apprelated problems and participate in weekly digital meetings with the shoreside digital team and other ship Digital Communication Managers.
- Prepare End-of-Voyage report for Revenue Marketing Director to add to master report for ship and shoreside management teams.
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure new to cruise items are updated and captured on digital and print mediums.
- Reviews and edits all marketing and communications collateral prior to printing and distribution to ensure alignment with the company’s brand identity strategy
- Execute comprehensive marketing and communication plans to promote onboard revenuegenerating activities, such as specialty dining, spa services, shore excursions, retail shops, and
- other guest services.
- Collaborate with the ship's management team to identify revenue-generating opportunities and create targeted promotions and marketing materials to maximize guest participation and
- spending.
- Oversee the production and distribution of all guest-facing marketing materials, including daily newsletters, event flyers, digital signage, and other promotional collateral.
- Monitor and analyze guest feedback and onboard revenue data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving marketing strategies and guest experiences.
- Coordinate with the shore-side marketing team to ensure consistency in brand messaging and guest communications across all channels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with onboard partners and vendors to ensure seamless integration of promotional campaigns and guest experiences.
- Manage the onboard guest communications process and train onboard teams on guidelines and policies.
- Conduct regular audits of onboard marketing materials and communications to ensure compliance with brand standards and legal requirements.
- Approve all stateroom collateral in line with the stateroom print collateral policy.
- Participate in special events, theme nights, and other guest-focused activities as needed to enhance the overall cruise experience.
- Manage a team of 1 direct report Printer staff for Print Shop, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure consistent performance.
