POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Administration Purser – Payroll and T&A, this position assists
with the overall payroll process and all financially related crew services. This
position involves a significant amount of time dealing with crew directly and
requires a strong customer-service focus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Celebrity Cruises expects each shipboard team member to relentlessly
exemplify the foundations of the World At Your Service (WAYS) brand values
to all team members. In addition, all duties and responsibilities are to be
performed in accordance with Royal Caribbean Group’s SQM standards, Time
& Attendance, ILO, environmental, health & safety policies and USPH and antibribery/Sarbanes Oxley guidelines.
1. In accordance with the company's World At Your Service (WAYS), all
employees should exemplify the three pillars of being genuine,
personalized and knowledgeable. Each employee always conducts
oneself in a professional and courteous manner. This consists of
physical and verbal interactions with guests and fellow shipboard
employees, in guest and crew areas and ashore, while on and off duty.
2. Assists the Administration Purser – Payroll and T&A with the
complete payroll process including the calculation, verification and
balancing of regular pay, gratuities, supplementals, commissions and
overtime data. Researches and documents discrepancies and prepares
SeaForms.
3. Validates the accurate uploading and approval of the gratuity and
departmental supplemental payments workbooks. Follows up on
pending approvals and liaises with the Administration Purser – Payroll
and T&A to ensure compliance.
4. Assists the Administration Purser – Payroll and T&A with the
preparation of payroll audits.
5. Assists the Administration Purser – Payroll and T&A in the
administration of the timekeeping system.
6. Administers shipboard crew receivables to ensure timely payments
and to minimize balances being sent to bad debt.
7. Maintains assigned crew office hours performing a variety of related
duties including assisting crew with questions and issues relating to
SeaPass, Payroll, Salary@Sea, crew collections and foreign exchange
transactions.
8. Maintains and balances a cash float daily.
9. Provides operational guidance and support to the Human Resources
team through synergetic communication of crew issues.
10. Maintains the confidentiality of all crew salaries, credit/debit card
information and any other financial transactions made by guests or
crew while practicing sound and prudent business sense and ethics.
11. Maintains and continuously updates clear and concise handover
notes.
12. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by enforcing
organizational standards, procedures, and legal regulations. Effectively
monitors and makes improvements to workplace safety within the
department and throughout the ship.
13. Attends mandatory crew and guest safety drills as required,
including meetings, training activities, courses, and all other workrelated activities.
14. Performs related duties as required. This position description in no

will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by the
Financial Controller or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum hiring, language, and physical requirements to perform the job.
Hiring Requirements:
· Completion of high school, basic education or vocational training
equivalency required.
· Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll or accounting processing
position within the hospitality industry or financial institution preferred.
· Minimum 6 months' experience in cash handling and an understanding
of US currency and exchange rates preferred.
· Exceptional administrative and analytical skills and aptitude for
accounting/bookkeeping.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a closely-knit team.
· Ability to work with and maintain confidential documentation.
· Proven customer service skills to interact appropriately with guests
and crew in a considerate, professional, and positive manner by
showing concern and listening actively.
· Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, crew, directors, managers
and shoreside employees to resolve problems and negotiate
resolutions.
· Demonstrable potential for growth into management and leadership
roles.
· Competence in operating basic office equipment, including calculators,
telephones, computers, and copy machines.
· Proficiency with computers, internet, and software programs such as
Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Intermediate level Excel skills with Financial, Math and Lookup
functions and formulas.

Language Requirements:
· Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with guests and
crew.

· Ability to read and write English to understand, interpret and convey
written information. This includes the ability to give and receive
instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present
information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors, and coworkers.
