Your Purpose

As the Senior Assistant Housekeeping Manager aboard our cruise line, your purpose is to play a leading role in the smooth operation and strategic support of the Housekeeping Department. Acting as the right hand of the Housekeeping Manager, you will take a proactive lead in supervising the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest cabins, public areas, and crew quarters. You are a key driver of excellence, ensuring that every corner of the ship reflects our brand’s high standards. Your leadership and expertise will guide a diverse housekeeping team, ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery, and contribute to a superior experience for both Guests and Crew.

Your Impact

In your elevated role, your impact will be strategic and visible across the ship. By taking ownership of day-to-day departmental functions and mentoring team leaders, you will ensure impeccable cleanliness and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in translating the Housekeeping Manager’s vision into action, helping to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and guest comfort. Your leadership will directly influence guest satisfaction scores and reinforce our company’s reputation for delivering world-class service. You’ll also play a vital role in crew well-being, ensuring their accommodation is maintained with the same level of care.

Your Journey So Far

We’re looking for someone who has:
 
•Deep Industry Experience: You bring robust experience in housekeeping management, ideally within the cruise line industry or upscale hospitality sector. You are fully at ease with the dynamic environment and high expectations of a shipboard operation.
•Advanced Leadership Skills: You have proven success in supervising large, multicultural teams and working in partnership with senior officers. Your leadership style inspires performance, motivates excellence, and fosters collaboration across departments.
•Operational Mastery: You are highly skilled in executing and overseeing housekeeping protocols, from sanitation and cleanliness to inventory and supply chain coordination. You know how to anticipate challenges and solve them efficiently.
•Guest-Centric Vision: Your professional journey reflects an unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction. You understand how every detail of a clean, organized environment contributes to a memorable cruise experience.

Your Essentials

To succeed in this senior role, you’ll need:
 
•Proven experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager or higher aboard a cruise ship or in a comparable high-end hospitality setting
•In-depth knowledge of housekeeping procedures, sanitation regulations, and inventory systems
•Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach and develop large, multicultural teams
•Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with outstanding communication abilities
•Impeccable attention to detail and organizational capabilities
•Ability to thrive under pressure, multitask, and manage shifting priorities with confidence
•Solid understanding of maritime safety protocols and a strong commitment to both guest and crew welfare
