Junior Entertainment Technician / DJ

Your Purpose

The Junior Entertainment Technician/DJ is an integral part of the experience technical team in delivering world class entertainment, experiences and enrichment for our guests and crew, while creating a transformative luxury ocean travel experience.

Your Impact

• Provide audio and video support as required in various lounges and venues throughout the ship for events, activities, and musical performances.

• Maintain the highest production standards for all set-ups, sound checks, rehearsals and performances.

• Work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with all team members and hosts to ensure that all pertinent stage setups and requirements are clearly understood and documented if needed.

• Working knowledge and understanding of all lounges technical systems including but not limited to audio, lighting and video systems including the ability to perform inspections, troubleshooting and carry out minor repairs.

• Perform all additional responsibilities as assigned by the Technical Entertainment and Broadcast Manager.

• Deliver an exceptional DJ experience.

• Demonstrate excellent judgement and professionalism in selecting relevant content and sound volume appropriate to the audience and venue.

• Be prepared to perform curated experiences at all times, days, onboard, in-ports and, where appropriate, ashore.

Your Journey So Far

• Excellent communication skills in an often forward-facing role with the ability to engage luxury level guests.

• Professional DJ experience with the ability to read an audience.

• To have a large and diverse music library which will be suitable for our guests and the journey.

• To be comfortable playing alongside different band setups, e.g., two-piece, Quartet etc.

• Physically and medically fit as per Explora Journeys Company policy.

• Computer literacy required.

• Fluent English, oral and written. Additional European languages are advantageous.

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
