Your Purpose

As the Assistant Housekeeping Manager aboard our luxury cruise line, your purpose is to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that every area of the ship meets our high standards of cleanliness and service. Working alongside the Housekeeping Manager, you will assist in overseeing the cleanliness of guest rooms, public spaces, and crew areas, ensuring they are meticulously maintained to provide a superior guest experience. You will play a vital role in maintaining smooth operations, helping to guide and support the housekeeping team to achieve excellence in service and cleanliness, and ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our Guests and Crew.

By assisting in managing the housekeeping team and ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met, you will directly contribute to the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our Guests. Your proactive approach will help maintain operational efficiency, ensuring all areas are in top condition at all times. Your efforts will ensure the seamless functioning of the Housekeeping Department, helping to create a pristine environment that enhances the overall cruise experience for our Guests. Your support will also have a lasting impact on the reputation of our cruise line as a provider of top-tier hospitality services. 

Your Journey So Far

We’re looking for someone who has:
 
• Extensive Experience: You bring solid experience in the Housekeeping Department, ideally from the cruise line industry or a comparable hospitality setting. You are well-versed in the demands of maintaining cleanliness and managing housekeeping operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Leadership & Collaboration: You have a proven track record of working collaboratively with senior managers and leading teams to success. Your ability to assist in managing diverse teams and contributing to daily operations will be essential to maintaining the highest levels of service.
• Operational Expertise: You are familiar with the key functions of the Housekeeping Department, including maintaining cleanliness standards, handling inventories, and implementing sanitation protocols. You are capable of supporting the implementation of daily routines and ensuring operations are efficient and effective.
• Guest-Focused: Your career reflects a deep commitment to guest satisfaction. You understand the importance of providing a spotless and welcoming environment, and your dedication to upholding high standards of service and cleanliness is reflected in your work.
 

Your Essentials

The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:
 
• Proven experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager or in a similar role within the cruise line industry or hospitality field
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, including cleanliness, sanitation, and inventory management
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and manage teams in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage priorities efficiently
• Familiarity with maritime safety standards and a strong commitment to guest and crew safety

MSC Cruises has grown exponentially since 2003. In such a short time, we have built a fleet of 21 modern and most environmentally advanced ships!

With our constant expansion, our fleet will grow in capacity with the arrival of eight new ships in three different classes by 2027.

This massive project is already well under way.
