Your Purpose

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Senior Analyst Professional to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys and to support the financial oversight of the Onboard Revenue business within our global cruise operations. Based at our corporate headquarters, this role will serve as a key financial advisor to the onboard teams, providing end-to-end support in budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and strategic analysis.
This is a high-impact role that requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, operational, and finance stakeholders. The Senior Analyst will ensure financial discipline, challenge business assumptions, and deliver insights to drive revenue growth, cost efficiency, and alignment with corporate financial goals. This role is based in the office out of our Headquarters in Geneva.
Your Impact
Business Monitoring & Performance Management
- Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for all onboard revenue streams, including retail, spa, casino, and shore excursions.
- Monitor and analyze key financial and operational KPIs to assess profitability and performance across ship classes, regions, and cruise products.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting on onboard revenues (included F&B), costs, and margins.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support decision-making and optimize revenue generation.
Business Partnering & Advisory
- Act as the primary finance partner to onboard commercial and operational teams, ensuring alignment between business performance and financial targets.
- Analyze performance drivers, identify root causes of variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support pricing strategy and margin optimization with solid financial analysis.
- Collaborate with other finance functions to ensure consistency in forecasts, planning timelines, and shared initiatives.
- Promote financial accountability across onboard operations and commercial leadership.
- Support data governance and ensure high standards of reporting accuracy and consistency.
Risk & Opportunity Management
- Proactively assess financial risks and opportunities related to onboard revenue from both profitability and cash flow perspectives.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for revenue initiatives, volume changes, and cost structures.
- Support business case preparation and evaluation for new products, process improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.
Your Journey so far
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or business partnering roles.
Your Essentials
- Strong understanding of the cruise or hospitality industry; prior experience in commercial or operational finance related to onboard revenue (e.g., shore excursions, retail, spa) is highly valued.
- Proven ability to track performance, influence outcomes, and support data-driven decisions.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and EPM platforms (e.g., Tagetik).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
