Your Purpose

The Entertainment Operations Manager will oversee the entertainment operations of various MSC Cruise ships based around the world. 

 

Ensuring standards and procedures are delivered effectively, guaranteeing our guests receive amazing entertainment and our valued teams are fully supported. 

 

Ensuring that content resonates with specific audience/demographic, preparing ships to join new markets.

 

Communicating, creating feedback & analysis on content, suppliers, and staff to ensure the forward momentum of the department. 

 

Generating effective and efficient workflows and a consistent support network for our large team, recruiting, training, and managing Cruise Directors from shoreside as we move into the next evolution of entertainment on board the world’s best equipped and most modern fleet at sea.

Your Impact

  • Create, edit, manage and implement standard operating procedures;
  • Work with the fleet to ensure the delivery of consistent and appropriate entertainment;
  • Assist in recruitment, training, & management of Cruise Directors & Entertainments team;
  • Introduce trends & learnings that help us future proof the department;
  • Monitor and utilize customer feedback to ensure ongoing improvement of the entertainment product;
  • Research and gain a constant awareness of the industry entertainment trends and our competitors;
  • Ensure the consistent standard is delivered;
  • Be continually available to travel regularly;
  • Special Projects (to be designated).

Your Journey so far

  • 10+ years’ experience in the cruise industry and must have covered roles such as Manager/Cruise Director or similar;
  • 10+ years’ experience in the entertainment industry;
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior operational/managerial position (within the Hospitality/Entertainment industry);
  • English mother tongue. Any other language is considered an advantage;
  • Ability to implement operational initiatives as identified as areas of priority;
  • Ability to lead teams in an international environment;
  • Familiar with the global cruise market and regional entertainment trends and preferences;
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft/Adobe/MOS;
  • In-depth knowledge of all demographics and markets;
  • Excellent project management skills & problem-solver;
  • Strong communicator and people person.
