- Collaborate with the Maritime Support Centre as needed to manage medical incidents and participate in the Emergency Group Ashore during major crises.
- Collaborate with Public Health colleagues to provide operational support during communicable disease outbreaks, including contact tracing, reporting, and coordination of isolation protocols
Cost Control and Efficiency
- Assist in tracking and analyzing shoreside medical costs, identifying trends and opportunities for cost containment.
- Support the implementation of vendor management strategies and preferred provider networks
Training and Development
- Develop and deliver training programs for shipboard nurses, paramedics, and medical administrators in collaboration with the Manager of Medical Education and Performance
Field Support and Investigations
- Travel to vessels as required to support investigations, conduct training, and assist with significant medical incidents or audits.
Project Participation
- Collaborate on special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of Medical Operations, including digital health integration and crew wellness programs.
