Your Purpose

As a Commis II Steak House, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience by preparing high-quality, mouth-watering dishes in our world-class steakhouse. Your skills and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining our reputation for culinary excellence while adhering to the company’s food safety and hygiene standards. You will work under the guidance of the Executive Chef to ensure every dish meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency. You’ll be part of a dedicated culinary team that focuses on delivering outstanding food service to our guests, all while embracing the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere aboard our ship.

Your expertise in preparing steakhouse menu items will directly influence our guests' dining experience, turning each meal into an unforgettable occasion. As a Commis II, your attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards will impact the quality of food served, enhancing guest satisfaction. Your ability to work collaboratively with the culinary team ensures efficiency in the kitchen, helping to maintain smooth operations and a clean, organized workspace. Ultimately, you will contribute to the cruise line's reputation for providing exceptional onboard dining experiences. 

Your Journey So Far

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

 

Proven experience as a Commis II or a similar role, ideally in a steakhouse, fine dining restaurant, or luxury resort 

Solid understanding of kitchen procedures, food safety standards, and preparation techniques 

Experience working in an international, high-end hotel, or cruise ship environment 

Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions as provided by the Executive Chef 

Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written), ensuring clear interaction with colleagues and management 

Your Essentials

To apply for this position, you must have: 

Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., Culinary School Diploma or equivalent) 

Fluency in English (oral and written) 

Proven practical experience as a Commis II or in a similar position in an international cruise line or 5-star hotel/resort 

Strong understanding of food preparation, recipe compliance, and food safety standards 

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment 

Passion for creating high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations 

Willingness to adapt to the unique requirements of working on a cruise ship, including flexible working hours
