Casino Manager

Your Purpose

The Casino Manager direct all the Casino operations and associated activities throughout the vessel and enhance our guests' experience.

Your Impact

• Direct the overall casino and gaming function onboard the vessel. Create an entertaining gaming environment, to attract and retain Guest attention.

• Oversee the assignment of duties, responsibilities and workstations to Casino employees.

• Observe and evaluate employees and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service are met.

• Mentor, develop and provide on-the-job training to subordinates to strengthen their current performance and preparation for future advancement.

• Review financial transactions to ensure an efficient operation. Constantly review current operating procedures for revenue-enhancement opportunities, through shipboard marketing efforts, up selling programs, and special promotions, etc.

• Implement Explora Journeys Standards for the casino function. Monitor the casino staff to ensure procedures and services are performed in accordance with brand standards. Review audit comments, discuss with subordinate/management, and implement audit recommendations.

• Maintain a high degree of “floor presence” to observe the operations and identify opportunities for guests' experience enhancement or performance improvement.

• Attend meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required.

• Where appropriate, initiate meetings to address and resolve quality concerns and to continuously identify improvement opportunities.

Your Journey So Far

• A minimum of 4 years experience in the position with diverse luxury Hospitality and/ or luxury Cruise lines.

• Ability to manage the financial aspects of a casino operation through cost efficiencies and revenue growth through promotional and up-selling activities.

• Ability to manage the international staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work.

• Knowledge of Computers.

• Fluent English. Knowledge of any other European languages is advantageous.

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
