The Fabulous Role

  • Monitor and evaluate service standards daily and identify ongoing improvement opportunities for all Food outlets, Deck 9 buffet, fast food outlets, Room Service, and Officers / Crew Mess operations and the ‘Casual Alternative Dining’ locations too.
  • Monitor and evaluate all F&B set-ups around the ship conference and meeting rooms, special events, Crew events, etc.
  • Responsible for the overview of Deck Pantry operation
  • Oversee organization and monitor process for all VIP room deliveries
  • Promote salesmanship and revenue in Room Service and Casual Dining venues towards allocated PPD (Per guest Per Day spending)
  • Responsible for upholding and maintaining USPH standards by training of crew and frequent inspections.
  • Develop and oversee operation department schedules
  • Maintain and monitor inventory control (par levels)
  • Responsible for meeting all allocated budgetary targets
  • Monitor Guest Satisfaction and service levels by conducting department quality assurance check-ins
  • Maintain Location Operating Guidelines and OJT materials for area of responsibility
  • Follow up and ensure resolution of guest complaints
  • See that hazardous materials are used and stored properly in operation under their control
  • Hold leaders accountable for daily service excellence training focus
  • Facilitate department meetings
  • Provide leadership for all direct reports; Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing personnel files
  • Conducting performance reviews, including discipline as needed
  • Ensuring Project Onboard compliance
  • Onboard training, new hire and ongoing
  • Succession planning
  • Crew recognition and communication

You the brilliant candidate

You will have worked on a cruise liner previously as an Assistant F&B Manager, F&B Manager, Windjammer Manager or equivalent on-board a mega vessel. You will have experience of leading multi-cultural teams of more than 40 in a high volume, guest focussed arena. Your exposure at sea will have seen you running and managing a multi-site outlet function of at least 8 on-board previously. You will be happy to be smartly attired on a daily basis and work circa 12-14 hours daily on a 7 day a week schedule for 4 months at a time. Your energy and dynamism will be simpy ‘MAGIC’. Your motivation to lead teams by ‘lighting the fire within them’ is paramount. Our partner is looking for a ‘fresh’ leader not one whom rules by the stick. You will be knowledgeable in USPH standards and strong on sanitation, health and hygiene regulations. Your IT skills will be strong on the Microsoft Office packages too.
