We are currently recruiting Chef de Parties for our European client, operating 4 and 5* cruise ships.

Rotation: 6 months on, 2 months off

Salary: £2182

Various start dates within the upcoming weeks.

The Job

  • Working as part of a team of 165 chefs, catering for 1000+ covers per sitting
  • Managing a team of 15-20 Junior Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs and Trainee Commis Chefs
  • Providing professionally prepared meals according to the Corporate Menu Cycle
  • Ordering stores as per company requirements, and arranging storing times and requirements
  • Identify and monitor staff training needs within the team
  • Min. 10 working hours per day

The Candidate

  • Prior experience within either a 4 or 5* hotel, a rosette standard or Michelin starred restaurant, or cruise line
  • Must hold NVQ III Food Production Qualification, City & Guilds 706 1/2 or other relevant qualification/apprenticeship
  • It is also advantageous to hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Must speak, read and write English fluently
  • Experience working within a fine dining and high volume environment
  • Leadership skills
  • Organised with an eye for details

Uniform is provided on-board, but chefs are welcome to take their own knives.
