We are currently recruiting Junior Pastry Chef de Parties to work on-board for our European client, operating 4 and 5* cruise ships.

Rotation: 6 months on, 2 months off

Salary: £1968 per month on-board

Various start dates within the upcoming weeks.

The Job

  • Working as part of a team of 165 chefs, catering for 1000+ covers per sitting
  • Working on a smaller team of 10-15 Junior Pastry Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs and Trainee Commis Chefs
  • Providing professionally prepared pastries, desserts, breads and confectionary according to the Corporate Menu Cycle
  • Min. 10 working hours per day

The Candidate

  • Prior experience in a pastry-based role within either a 4 or 5* hotel, a rosette standard or Michelin starred restaurant, or cruise line
  • Must hold NVQ III Food Production Qualification, City & Guilds 706 1/2 or other relevant qualification/apprenticeship
  • It is also advantageous to hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Must speak, read and write English fluently
  • Experience working within a fine dining and high volume environment
  • Organised with an eye for details

Uniform is provided on-board, but chefs are welcome to take their own knives.
