Barista

Baristas serve and suggest high-quality Starbucks products, We Proudly Serve, and/or Starbucks-licensed products, including related ice cream and complimentary/retail pastries, while acting in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Their responsibilities include observing Starbucks Standards when preparing beverages and serving guests; interacting with guests and fellow shipboard employees; providing customers with product details such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions; describing menu items or recommending products that might appeal to customers; cleaning/sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils; checking temperatures of heating and refrigeration equipment to ensure proper functionality; and organizing and preparing assigned station prior to guest arrival. Extensive knowledge of beverage-handling procedures with regard to public health standards is one of the main requirements of this position.
