Social Hostess

All applicants should include a recent photo in their profile or CV, and include details of valid STCW maritime safety training certificates held.  Candidates should have at least 2 years experience of work on board cruise ships in a similar role.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Socialising with passengers and maintaining a high profile around the ship
• Attend the hostess hospitality desk each day at sea, at a time to be determined by the Cruise Director.
• Prepare morning quizzes for distribution at the hospitality desk
• Co-ordinate guest lists for the Captain's dining table, liaising with the Captain and Maitre D'; preparation of invitations for the dinner guests.
• Other social duties as requested by the Cruise Director
• Prepare and co-ordinate delivery of birthday and anniversary cards
• Introduce all guests to the Captain at the Welcome Party and any other parties
• In case of medical emergency, liaise with hospital and offer assistance as necessary to the passenger, their spouse or partner
• Escort Shore Excursions as required
• Participate in the Daily Programme of activities and entertainment as required by the Cruise Director
• Ensure prompt attendance at all activities and events
• Ensure adequate stocks of stationary, give-aways and prizes
• Participate in the In Port manning rota
• Be familiar with the ship's safety procedures and comply with all rules and regulations as determined by the Master
• Participate in emergency drills as instructed by the Master
