Plumber

Description:

Responsible to coordinate the repairs, replacement and installation of all plumbing projects especially considering the vessel’s safety, environment protection at sea and cost management, improvement of the quality of services

Responsibilities:

• Practicing GCCL values
• Organization and detailed supervision of plumbing projects
• Ensure all plumbing projects in place are followed correctly
• Responsible for following systems: Potable Water Lines, Technical Water Lines, Gray Water and Black Water Lines, Evac system and George Fisher system
• Proper storage and containment of hazardous chemicals
• Comply to company’s environmental policy and procedures
• Ensure that chemicals that may be used are approved by the company
• Safe working practice
• Sludge collection and disposal according to MARPOL
• Cooperation with Hospitality Department and be ready to assist in carrying luggage
• Participate on scheduled provisions loading as well as in waste disposal when necessary
• Any additional duty advised by supervisor

Skills/Qualifications:

• STCW certification compulsory for the vessel
• Medical fitness
• Ship experience
