Location: At Sea
Salary: £37,000 per annum (£4,707 pmw)
Hours: 3 months on and 2 months off rotation.

Further Details: 3R Global are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced and passionate Second Ventilation Officer. It is a great opportunity to join one of the most well-renowned companies in the cruise industry.

What you will be doing:

• As Second Ventilation Officer you will be supporting the First Ventilation Officer in managing the team that looks after the maintenance of all on-board heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• You will work with the 1st Ventilation Officer (1VO) to guarantee all Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning machinery and equipment is operated in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• As Second Ventilation Officer you will make sure all assigned Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning maintenance is completed in a timely manner while making sure the highest standards are maintained at all times.
• You will effectively coordinate and promptly assign repair work resulting from incoming defect chits of the Hotel/Deck/Technical Department when delegated by 1VO.
• As Second Ventilation Officer you will monitor control and troubleshoot assigned Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning equipment.
• You will work together with the Senior Technical Storekeeper to ensure sufficient stock of HVAC spare parts and consumables are held on board to cover planned and unplanned maintenance at all times.
• As Second Ventilation Officer you will note each crewmember’s performance using his or her role description as a guide and will coach and develop as appropriate.
• You will also Identify top performers and mentor them for career advancement or promotion.
• As Second Ventilation Officer you will work with the 1VO for all on-board Ventilation personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, demotions, and terminations.
• You will assist the Staff Engineer Officer (SEO)/1VO in the cost management and cost control of the onboard Engine department to achieve all financial goals set by the Company.
• As Second Ventilation Officer you will communicate effectively with the 1VO and promptly communicate all suggestions and concerns of Ventilation Staff to 1VO.

What you’ll need:

• You will need a minimum of three years’ experience in a previous rank as 2nd Ventilation Officer or similar.
• Certificate of Competency or Certificate of Equivalent Competency
• ENG1 or equivalent Medical
• STCW Personal Survival Techniques
• STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
• STCW Elementary First Aid
• STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
• Designated Security Duties training.
